Already 30

This year, on 31st of March we celebrated the 30-ieth anniversary of our school. The celebration was very big. We had a big programme with many performers (the choir, drama groups, dancers, music school...). There were songs from the eighties all the way to today. There was also a played show which spoke about Stjepan Basariček, a teacher and pedagogue who our school was named after. The theme was a school time machine. There were pictures of former students in the hall,a brand new big concert piano on which some students have played since we have a music department in school. There were many important guests who came to school. We had a classroom where there were robots, smart boards, projectors, tablets... In the end, our principal Vlatka Koletić set the time capsules in the showcase that will be opened in 20 years. I plan to be there when it happens. For the final event we let 30 ballons in the air. Some escaped earlier... It was a very long day but it was also very fun. Parents were laughing while they were looking at old photos of themselves when they went to school, and kids enjoyed the show and hanging out. That was a great day and I'm sure it is not going to be the last great event at our school.
